The spokeswoman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Hua Chunying, said that her country is in contact with all parties involved in the Ukrainian crisis, including the Ukrainian authorities.
Commenting on reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky sent an invitation to Chinese President Xi Jinping to visit Ukraine, she added, “Regarding the question of Zelensky’s invitation to the Chinese president to visit Ukraine, we do not have any information to provide to you.”
Earlier, Zelensky expressed his readiness to hold a meeting with the Chinese president in Ukraine in an interview with the Associated Press.
Zelensky also added that he had no contact with the Chinese leader throughout the year 2022.
